The 2011 Climb For Change Mexico Volcano Challenge benefiting Power To Be is on!
The 13-member team is leaving this Friday, January 7th, and well on its way to making the first summit - raising $25,000 for Power To programs in Greater Vancouver.
We hope that you'll follow the team every step of the way by watching their regular updates.
The Climb For Change team that raised over $150,000 toward Power To Be's program expansion with their charity climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in January 2010 is at it again.
This time, they plan to raise $25,000 by climbing Mexico's tallest volcano and North America's third highest mountain - El Pico de Orizaba - in January of 2011.

After training together on various mountain runs and getting our feet wet in ultramarathons, we decided to challenge ourselves further by travelling to Europe for the Transalpine Race. This is a "Globally unique super run across the Alps".

The purpose of the 2010 Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb is an awareness and fundraising campaign to assist Power To Be Adventure Therapy Society in its efforts to reduce waiting lists and help improve the lives of more disadvantaged kids and their families.
Our goals were to raise $150,000, to ensure that all summit team members made the summit, to return safely, and to have fun. On January 9, 2010, all our objectives materialized.
All proceeds from this event go to supporting our programs. Find Out More
